Grievance Process

The grievance process is about protecting your rights under the contract, ensuring that violations of the contract are prevented, and to help employees whose rights under the contract have been violated obtain a remedy.

If you feel that a contract violation has occurred as it relates to you or your worksite, please contact your department’s Shop Steward.  If you cannot locate the Shop Steward for your department, e-mail the webmaster for assitance.

Below is some useful information on what are known as “Weingarten Rights”. An employee may be represented by the union at an investigatory interview with his/her employer when the employee reasonably believes that the interview may lead to disciplinary action.  For a comprehensive overview of how Weingarten Rights may or may not apply to you, [ click here ].
