In 2022 Oregon will elect a new Governor. The Governor will have a big influence on your working conditions and our community no matter if you are state, local or non-profit workers. We have always had a members driven process for endorsing candidates but with the changing technology and the increased use of electronic platforms, we wanted to take advantage and have the most open process for endorsement that Oregon AFSCME has ever had.
Saturday January 8th at 9am Oregon AFSCME will be hosting a virtual forum and inviting gubernatorial candidates to talk about the most important issues facing AFSCME members over the next few years. This important political event is open to all union members and we are gathering questions from the membership over the next few weeks. This will be a non-partisan event and will focus on the issues that bring us together: our working conditions and our community.
