At our General Membership meeting that occurred on February 19th, we held nominations for 4 vacant Local 88 executive board seats and 1 vacant trustee position as well as for 7 delegates to our 2025 Oregon AFSCME State Convention in Bend, OR.
Darlena Hale was nominated to serve on our Local 88 executive board, accepted the nomination, and won by acclamation.
Marsha Hayes was nominated to serve on our Local 88 executive board as a Trustee, accepted the nomination, and won by acclamation.
We had 15 nominated candidates for the 7 open delegate positions for the 2025 Oregon AFSCME State convention necessitating an election. The virtual election was held February 27th- March 4th, 2025. In addition to the four automatic delegates of our Local 88 cabinet (President, Jackie Tate; Vice President, Hilary Zust; Treasurer, Cindy Sierra; Secretary, Grant Swanson), the elected Local 88 delegates for the 2025 Oregon AFSCME State Convention are, in order of votes received: Percy Winters Jr, Imogen Fox, Jordana Sardo, Megan Gallagher, E Dominguez, Manuel Arellano, and Ebony Klinger.
