At our November 15, 2023 membership meeting, a concerned group of members brought forward this letter with a request that it be sent to the County Chair and County Commissioners. Our membership voted to share it with those elected from our Local 88 membership.
As stated in this letter and in solidarity with all oppressed people,
“We call for an immediate end to hostilities on all sides, an end to the siege of Gaza, an end to the continued bombing and the ground invasion. We call for the immediate opening of humanitarian corridors to allow for the supply of essential goods, energy and medical aid.“
