AFSCME Local 88 will be accepting nominations at our 10/19/22 general membership meeting to fill the following vacant Local 88 E-Board positions.
- Executive Board Public Safety #4
- Executive Board Public Safety #5
- Executive Board General Government/Library #3–Library slots currently full
- Executive Board Transition Projects
- Executive Board Central City Concern
The meeting will begin at 6:15pm and will be conducted virtually – please register in advance.
E-Board information and duties are detailed in the AFSCME Local 88 constitution in Articles VI and VII. (Please note: No department shall have two (2) more Executive Board members than any other department in their sector.) Self nominations and nominations by members in good standing will be accepted at this meeting. If you plan to nominate someone not present, please try and confirm with them that they will accept the nomination. If any of the positions are a contested race, an election will be sent out to all members to your personal email 11/1/22. The term for these positions ends in November 2023.
The voting period will take place Tuesday, November 1 through Monday, November 7.
